Raised on the family ranch north of Hanna, Alberta, Glen relocated to Medicine Hat to attend Hillcrest Christian College. He retired from the Medicine Hat Police Service in 2015 following a 35 year career. An active volunteer in the community, Glen was first elected as a Conservative Member of Parliament in a 2016 by-election to serve the great people of the Medicine Hat-Cardston-Warner riding. He was re-elected in 2019 and 2021. He has been blessed with two grown children and six grandchildren, all of whom call Medicine Hat their home. Glen has been entrusted by the Conservative party to hold several roles since being elected, including: Associate Shadow Minister for Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness from 2019-2020, Member of the National Security and Public Safety Committee from 2017-2020, Member of the National Security and Intelligence Committee of Parliamentarians (NSICOP) until June 2021.
